In Spring 2026 I took an Algebraic Geometry course (MATH 562) with Professor Jenia Tevelev. Because I was already beginning my research for summer 2026 with Professor Tevelev, my final project was decided to be on the ideas behind this research.

In my spring 2026 history of math course (MATH 475) I chose to write about Alexander Grothendiek. The essay focuses partially on his unique life and his ties to the political state of the world throughout his time, but also on his unique methods and the vast contributions he provided to mathematics. The project also included a presentation which was not recorded.
